Dr. Kristine M. Kobayashi, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Kris Kobayashi has been my friend since 1999. She has an outgoing personality and warm nature. In addition, her excellent clinical skills have impressed me for over 20 years. Dr. Kobayashi, O.D. completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Kobayashi has specialized training in Low Vision and hospital-based optometry. She obtained her license to utilize pharmaceutical agents in the state of California in 1997.
Dr. Kobayashi is married to Randy and has two beautiful children. She enjoys traveling and fine dining.
Dr. Irene M. Lin-Dilorinzo, OD
Optometrist and Founder
Dr. Irene M. Lin-Dilorinzo has over 29 years of experience as an optometrist.
In 1987, Dr. Lin completed her undergraduate education at California State Polytechnic University Pomona, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree with Magna Cum Laude honors. She majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Zoological Sciences.
In 1992, Dr. Lin graduated from the accredited Southern California College of Optometry with a Doctor of Optometry degree. Her research was in Sports Vision and she did an externship at Fort Ord Army Hospital in Monterey, California as well as a family eye care externship at Baldwin Park Optometric Center in San Gabriel Valley, California.
During the first eight years of her career as a clinical optometrist for a multi-specialty medical group, Dr. Lin examined patients alongside other optometrists, ophthalmologists, and a vast array of physicians, from pediatricians to OB/Gyns to Internists. Her work experience in a team setting continues to influence Dr. Lin to take care of the whole person, not just their eyes. She then became an Independent Doctor in a corporate setting while also working part-time for various private practices in the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley areas. Her career journey could end there. However, her dream was to own her own private practice. Monarch Bay Optometry was founded in 2004.
Dr. Lin is married to Robert and loves to rescue dogs from the local animal shelter or rescue. She is currently looking to adopt or rescue a new dog to welcome into her family. Dr. Lin also enjoys collecting sneakers and has built a good collection of over 50 sneakers, primarily of Nike, Jordan, and Yeezy.
Dr. Anna Pennino, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Anna Pennino received her baccalaureate degree from California State University at Fullerton. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 1991. Post-doctorate, Dr. Pennino participated in clinical research, evaluating the ocular side effects of cholesterol-lowering medication. She is a native Californian practicing in her two locations; Del Rey Optometry, Playa Del Rey (2002), and South Gate Optometry, South Gate (2007). "I am committed to delivering personalized patient care. I do my best to connect with each patient to solve their visual needs while educating and giving everyone a reason to smile." Her professional interests are primary care optometry and specialty contact lenses including multifocal and myopia control. She has been a sponsoring doctor for Unite For Sight, a non-profit organization that empowers communities worldwide to improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness. She has participated in contact lens solution studies and contact lens consulting.
Dr. Pennino also enjoys expressing her creative side. She is the co-designer of her exclusive eyewear collection Pepper Zagg. In addition to optometry and designing eyewear, Dr. Pennino is an enthusiastic skier, scuba diver, and adventurous traveler. She is an active volunteer at the Orange County Food Bank and Kinetic Academy Charter School, founded by her husband. She can’t resist an ice-cold diet coke and believes the best medicine is a good laugh.
Dr. Pennino is married to an ambitious banker, and a Mom to two sets of twin boys! In her spare time when she is not chauffeuring her boys to their various activities, she looks forward to relaxing with her husband and a glass of red wine.
Cristian Marron,
Optician and Marketing Director
Mr. Cristian Marron received his associate's degree from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Los Angeles (FIDM). His interest in fashion and visual arts grew shortly after graduating from nearby Dana Hills High School. He has worked as a fashion consultant and sales associate throughout Orange County and Los Angeles for several years.
With his expanding knowledge of frame styling, he is able to meet each patient’s visual expectations while keeping them current and stylish. His self-motivated passion for trend analysis and emerging brands makes him well-qualified to assist each patient to obtain eyewear they will love.
P Mr. Marron’s spare time he continues to nurture his love of visuals through photography and freelance styling. He loves doing lifestyle and portrait work for friends and family. He also enjoys being on set for various photo/video productions. As for his personal fashion, Mr. Marron collects shoes from various artist-brand collaborations but continues to be loyal to his favorite brand, YEEZY.
